Perhaps you have heard of their most well known space, Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse located in Grand Central Station. Allie was based out of Bridgewaters, their South Street Seaport event venue. During her internship, she was able to help plan and attend large-scale events, which is the field she plans to pursue after graduation. Clients of The Glazier Group included Goldman Sachs, Citi Bank, and MetLife. In addition to these corporate affairs, she also assisted with many social events, such as weddings and bar mitzvahs. Lauren Munyard HMA Staff Advisor |
If Lauren weren’t working in Higher Education, which she loves, she would be working in hospitality, which she did as her first professional job before moving into college administration. As an undergraduate student, Lauren had interest in working in the hospitality industry and worked in her college’s Admissions Office as a Campus Tour Guide, Visit Greeter, Reception Representative and prospective student caller. She spent a summer working for the Albany Convention & Visitors Bureau preparing for a large conference and as a hostess at a luxury hotel. She did a short internship over the winter break with a PR firm preparing for a state-wide special event. After graduation, she worked as the Director of Guest Services at a retreat & conference center. Now working in student services, she sees it as an opportunity to apply the same “guest services” philosophy to be available to college students’ needs. Lauren now works as the Communication major academic advisor and teaches the Pre-communication FYE class. |
