Katherine H. Emery '81 has been named by the Connecticut Technology Council as a recipient of their 2015 Women of Innovation award. Emery is the founder and CEO of Walker Systems Support in Farmington. Matt Fleury '07 EMBA has been re-appointed to the Board of Regents for Higher Education by the Connecticut General Assembly. Fleury is President and CEO of the Connecticut Science Center. Paul R. Goodchild '03, '14 Ph.D. has successfully defended his dissertation titled, “The Effect of Media Format, Disclosure Tone, and Earnings Condition on Detection of Misstatements.” Goodchild is currently working at the University of Central Missouri. Gregory F. Murtagh '84 has joined The O Alliance as a strategic advisor. Murtagh is a nationally recognized media industry leader specializing in e-commerce, digital media and omnichannel monetization. In addition, Murtagh is a recipient of Advertising Age's prestigious "Media Maven" award as well as regional recognition as "Entrepreneur of the Year" from major business publications in Florida. Maryne Robin '96 MBA has been named by the Connecticut Technology Council as a recipient of their 2015 Women of Innovation award. Ms. Robin is the owner of Nantes Solutions which was founded in 1999. Anthony J. Scarpino, Jr. '73 has joined the law firm of DelBello, Donnellan, Weingarten, Wise & Wiederkehr, LLP and will head the newly expanded estate practice. Judge Scarpino was the Westchester County Surrogate Judge for 14 years. He is grateful for the opportunity to re-enter private practice after 30 years in the judiciary. Quinten J. Smallwood '08 has been elected by Leadership Greater Hartford to their Executive Committee. Smallwood has been serving as a board member since 2012 and was appointed treasurer in December 2014. |
